FALL RIVER – Two people were killed when the Acura 3.2TL they were riding in struck a building at the corner of Morgan and Second streets Tuesday. Two other passengers were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The driver, a 74-year-old Fall River woman and the front seat passenger, a 29-year-old Fall River woman, died following the accident that occurred at 12:20 p.m., according to Gregg Milliote, a spokesperson for Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn’s Office.

A 23-year-old Fall River woman who was riding in the back seat is awake and alert at the hospital and an 18-month-old boy is in serious but stable condition, said Milliote.

The vehicle was traveling north on Second Street when it appears to have clipped the curb, lost control and struck Finders Keepers consignment clothing store at 427 Second St.

Milliote said accident reconstruction and investigation ongoing. No other vehicle or pedestrians were involved.

Fall River Fire Department Acting District Chief Ron Sevigny said Rescue 1 responded immediately along with Engine 4, Ladder 2 and medical rescues.
