'I love these Big W containers and wish I got more and they had different sizes,' the woman posted.

It wasn't long before hundreds of others shared their own experiences with the $6 boxes, saying they have helped to 'transform' the look of their fridge, as well as the quality of their food.

'I just started using them too and they are keeping my fruit and veg much fresher,' one commenter wrote.

'This is a work of art. I'll be rushing off to Big W now,' another added.

The plastic fridge containers are available for just $6 in one size, and each container comes with a lid to preserve food freshness.

Product description states that the boxes are perfect for busy families because they have a 'sturdy lid that allows multiple items to be stacked or placed on top'.

'Crafted from BPA-free plastic, these containers are perfect for leftovers and fresh food,' Big W states.

But the Big W containers aren't the only options on the market for those looking to overhaul their fridge.

Others have heaped praise on Kmart's $4 480ml Fridge Food Savers, which have a five star rating on Kmart's website.

Posting on Facebook, an Adelaide-based media manager Taylah Coker said her broccoli was 'completely crunchy' after almost three weeks in the container inside her fridge.

'I also have cherry tomatoes that were bought at the same time and they are still firm!' she wrote online.

Speaking previously to FEMAIL, mother-of-two Belle Saf, 37, from Melbourne, revealed how she created a kitchen that saw many label her the owner of 'Australia's most organised fridge'.

'I started collecting my glass Decor containers from Big W,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'I waited until they were half price before I bought them, and then I purchased a large selection that filled the fridge.'

Belle said she now swears by the containers for prolonging the life of many fruits and vegetables.

Much of her food, she said, lasts for as long as three weeks.
