It gave sanction to open bazaars, sweet shops, printing press, dry cleaners, restaurants, public parks with some limitations.
However, those in containment and buffer zones will continue to remain shut. The new guidelines will come into effect from Thursday.
District Magistrate, Lucknow, Abhishek Prakash on Tuesday, told newsmen that new guidelines have been issued on the lines of Central and state government. “We have decided to open up markets but with certain restrictions. They will be opened from 7am to 7pm only. One day shops on the right will be kept open and next day on the left. All markets will remain closed one day in week for sanitisation,” said the DM.
The decision to open street vendors has been given to Lucknow municipal commissioner and private clinics to Lucknow Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
All the shops will have to adhere to social distancing norms and wearing face masks while working will mandatory as well. Public parks will be opened from 7am to 10am and closed then again to open from 5pm to7 pm in the evening. While a ‘Nigrani Samiti’ will be formed to keep a check on morning walkers who will have to wear face masks during walks.
