'Brains smaller than a nut': 'Moron' hoons are blasted by car lovers for filming themselves doing burnouts on a busy Melbourne bridge

The shocking moment a group of irresponsible hoons do burnouts on a busy Melbourne bridge has been uploaded to social media and shared hundreds of times. 

The footage of a Holden VN Commodore doing 180 degree donuts on the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne was uploaded to Westside Car & Bike Meets on Tuesday.

The Commodore is seen dangerously taking up three lanes of the bridge as it continues to stop and start all while filling the road with tyre smoke.

At one point two of the passengers lean out of the windows and cheer as the car careens off further down the bridge. 

Traffic, including a large truck, can be seen crossing the opposite side of the bridge as the Commodore is circling out of control. 

Within an hour of being posted to the Facebook page the video garnered hundreds of comments and more than 30,000 views. 

Some social media users were left shocked and frightened by the video. 

'I would be absolutely petrified, already so scared to drive on the bridge. I’d crash for sure in shock especially at night,' one user wrote. 

Meanwhile others users were angered by the footage. 

'Morons,' one user wrote. 

'This is what happens when your brain is smaller than a NUT,' another added.  

'These people as so stupid. Stuffs it for genuine car people,' a third added. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Victoria Police for comment on the video.
