Doctors, paramedics quarantined

ROHTAK: A woman patient admitted to the gynaecology department of PGIMS, Rohtak, contracted the viral infection after four persons, including the wife of a doctor, sweepers and ambulance driver of the institute tested positive for Covid-19.
The district authorities took over 200 samples, including of doctors in PGIMS, from inside and outside the hospital campus to trace the history of positive patients, said Rohtak CMO Dr Anil Birla. "The residential area near 11J of PGIMS was declared containment zone and doctors and their family members living there are prohibited to leave the premises. The hospital campus, including the labour room, resthouse where sweepers and other office-bearers were staying, have been sanitised," he added.
Sixteen doctors and nurses of anesthesia department and three doctors of medicine department have been quarantined at a private hotel in the district after a woman patient found positive of Covid-19. The health department officials also conducted a door to door survey inside the campus.
