Faizal Siddiqui's controversial TikTok video has been assumed to be an incident promoting acid attack, especially owing to the make up on the professional make-up artist in the video, Faby. Interestingly Faby had previously taken up Deepika Padukone's 'Chhapaak' challenge and did make-up like that of an acid-attack survivor.
During the promotiong of 'Chhapaak', Faby was in conversation with Deepika Padukone, when the actress asked the make-up artist to recreate her 'Om Shanti Om', 'Piku' and 'Chhapaak' looks. Faby obliged for the same and had recreated the look of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who Deepika portrayed in 'Chhapaak'.
The girl with #FaizalSiddiqui is a makeup artist Faby. She is the same girl who was promoted by @deepikapadukone attempting Chhapaak challenge.
So, at the at end up day they all are connected, all they want is to milk money over someone's misery. Deepika is too equally guilty. pic.twitter.com/DoJIPqCxSi

Interestingly, Deepika is currently mum about the whole video which has been taking the internet by storm. On the other hand, Laxmi Agarwal, who has survived acid attack, thanked the National Commission for Women (NCW) for taking strict action against Faizal Siddiqui.
"Thanks to National Commission for Women for taking cognizane of the viral video by TikTok ‘influencer’ Faizal Siddiqui promoting acid attack.Such videos/actions should be strictly debarred which are against the society. We are working day and night to stop the acid attacks , violence against women. This cringe activity is not called influencing but promoting crime. Such persons are curse to our society. So it is important to ban such videos and accounts from the social media. Come forward-we urge you to stop acid violence-Stop Sale Acid," wrote Laxmi.
When Faizal Siddiqui released a statement post the controversy, he also mentioned about professional make-up artist Faby writing, "Regarding the makeup, The girl in the video is Faby, a professional makeup artist. I have collaborated with her numerous times in the past for videos. She has even shot with us for videos with this same make up. It's just her way of projecting her part of art. That make up in no way, represents a victim of an acid attack. Again, just her way of projecting her art and profession. Here's an example air #TeamNawab"
For the uninitiated, NCW has demanded that Faizal's TikTok account should be banned. "@NCWIndia have contacted Tik-Tok India @TikTok_IN to remove the video & delete the account of #FaizalSiddiqui that instigate committing violence against women," they tweeted.
The letter also read as, "The Commission is seriously concerned about the increase in crimes against women. The video not only seems to promote violence against women but shows the patriarchal mindset which would send a very wrong message to the society."
