The lockdown period in Rajasthan has been extended to 17 May in view of the increasing infection of the corona virus. On Monday, the first day of the fourth phase, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched the 'Indira Priyadarshini Baby Kit' distribution program, free of cost, to newborn girls born in state hospitals. Under this, CM Gehlot handed pink color kits to the newborn girls of Sonam and Meenakshi, who came from Zanana Hospital, Jaipur.

With this, girls born in the government medical institutions of Jaipur district will start getting pink color baby kits from today. After this, the kit distribution program will be started in other districts in a few days.

Significantly, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced this in the state budget of 2019-20 to prevent the risk of infection from wrapping him in old clothes and to protect the newborn from hypothermia.
