Frank and Loris Puglia had owned Serendipity Gardens in Joyner - an affluent suburb filled with large estates built on acreage - for about five years. They bought it in 2014 for about $800,000.

They had tried to sell the property retreat, which features lush greenery and a swimming pool, last year.

'Every day I feel like we've escaped the hustle and bustle without going too far,' Ms Puglia told the Courier Mail at the time.

'I remember the first morning we woke up here, it felt like we'd been camping because of the beautiful birdlife we have here.'

Reviews online for their bed and breakfast business were largely positive, with many singling out Ms Puglia for her hospitality.

'Loris and Frank were very welcoming, easy to talk to. Such a beautiful place to relax, surrounded by the wildlife, great outdoor area, comfy lounge, lovely bed room, still close to shops,' wrote one man.

'Such a lovely couple and they are so accommodating,' added another.

'Loris helped me to readjust, reassess, refocus and realign my journey through my vision board,' wrote a third.

The Serendipity Facebook page has been regularly  updated over the past few weeks items for sale, and posts about books about crystals and tarot card reading.
