Doctor suicide: Cops to match AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal's voice sample

AAP's Prakash Jarwal
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police will collect the voice sample of AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal and match it with call recordings received from the phone of a deceased doctor who had blamed him before committing suicide.
Jarwal had allegedly called the doctor, Rajender Singh, on his phone and threatened to get him killed due to which he had allegedly committed suicide. Singh's family gave police the recording of a conversation with Jarwal in which he was heard threatening the doctor with dire consequences if he did not pay him money. Singh alleged that the Devli MLA and his associate had been trying to extort Rs 10 lakh to allow him to operate his water tanker in the area. The victim had allegedly given him Rs 5 lakh cash but could not pay the remaining amount.
Probe has revealed that Jarwal, along with his aide, had made over 50 calls to the victim over the last year harassing him. After his death, Jarwal admitted to having made the call but claimed that he had threatened the man in a heated exchange but later apologised.
