A man who spat at a police officer after being arrested has been locked up.
Steven Paul Johnson was seen by officers in Bangor city centre on Friday.
When they spoke to him, it emerged that the 48-year-old, of no fixed address but formerly of Liverpool, had no good reason to be in the area and was in breach of Covid-19 regulations.
During his subsequent arrest, he became abusive and aggressive and was in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Appearing from custody before magistrates at Mold, he admitted charges of breaching the Criminal Behaviour Order, breaching Covid-19 regulations, and assaulting an emergency worker.
He was handed a six-month prison sentence to be served immediately.
The court heard the Criminal Behaviour Order was made by magistrates at Caernarfon in April 2016 and was for him not to be drunk, threatening and abusive in a public place.
He was said to have breached the five-year order on previous occasions and had received custodial sentences.
