Karnataka SSLC exam dates likely to be announced today

BENGALURU: The dates for the Karnataka SSLC exams might be declared on Monday. The minister for primary and secondary education will hold a meeting with the department officials to discuss the feasibility of conducting the exam.
SSLC exam, that will be taken by around 8.5 lakh students across the state was, was scheduled to be held on March 27 but postponed owing to the lockdown. The minister will discuss issues of how to maintain social distancing in exam halls, feasibility of students who have gone back to their home towns taking exams from the closest exam centres among other issues.
According to the minister S Suresh Kumar, a large majority of students want to write the exams as they have prepared for it all through the year. The minister is also taking public opinion on matters of reopening the schools as well.
