Hudson-Odoi arrested, released on bail - report

2020-05-18 15:21

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has allegedly been released on bail after being detained in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Sun reported on Monday morning that Hudson-Odoi 'was arrested on Sunday while breaching lockdown at 4am with a model he had met online'.

The newspaper's headline read: 'Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi arrested after 4am row with glamour model while breaking lockdown as the ambulance is called'.

Police turned up at the England international's penthouse in west London after 'a woman rang the police and an ambulance'.

The report alleged: 'Hudson-Odoi, who has had coronavirus, is said to have asked the woman to visit him wearing lingerie.

'It is believed the 19-year-old made contact with the woman on social media on Saturday before inviting her to his penthouse.'

And now the Metropolitan Police have released a statement: "Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53 on Sunday, 17 May to a report of an unwell woman.

"A man was arrested at the scene. He was released from custody and bailed to return on a date in mid-June. Enquiries continue."

At the time of publication, Chelsea have yet to make any comment on the winger's arrest.
