CBSE Board Exam 2020: Date sheet for pending class 10, 12 exams released
The HRD ministry had last week announced that the pending class 10 and 12 CBSE exams, which were postponed due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown, would be conducted from July 1 to 15.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday released the schedule for the pending Class 10 and 12 examinations.
Class 12th examination will be held at all India-level, while class 10th exam will be conducted for only northeast Delhi district students.
"Dear students of class 12th of CBSE Board here is the date sheet for your board exams. All the best," Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted.
According to the new guidelines issued by the MHRD, all the candidates will have to carry their own hand sanitizer in transparent bottle. They need to cover their nose, mouth and nose with mask/cloth. Candidates need to follow physical distance norms.
CBSE suggested parents to guide their ward about precautions to be taken by them to avoid spread of Covi-19 during the examinations.
The HRD ministry had last week announced that the pending class 10 and 12 CBSE exams, which were postponed due to the lockdown imposed to curb the COVID-19 spread, would now be conducted from July 1 to 15.
Due to communal violence in the northeast part of the national capital, the CBSE had postponed class 12th and Class 10th exams in the area. The exams at over 80 centres in northeast Delhi were postponed.
The CBSE had announced the revised schedule for the riot-affected area. According to this the class 12th exams were to begin on March 31 and to conclude on April 14, while exams for class 10th were scheduled from March 21 to March 30. However, the exams had to be postponed again, this time nation-wide due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Students were anxiously waiting to appear in the examination at the earliest possible, while the nationwide lockdown to fight Covid-19 spread was being extended Phase after Phase. The first locked was imposed on March 24, second came into force on April 14, the third lockdown was implemented on May 3 while the fourth nationwide lockdown came into effect from today i.e., May 18 till May 31, 2020.
The board could not conduct class 10 and 12 exams on eight examination days due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Last week HRD Minister announced that the exams for the remaining paper would be held from July 1 to 15, 2020.
As per the sources the CBSE is going to annouce the revised schedule today i.e., May 18, 2020.
The schedule has been decided in order to ensure that the board exams are completed before competitive examinations such as engineering entrance JEE-Mains, which is scheduled from July 18-23, and medical entrance exam NEET, which is scheduled on July 26.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines to universities that the new academic session for freshers will begin from September while for the existing students from August.
