Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the efforts to control Corona pandemic are meeting with success in Madhya Pradesh. The activities to educate common people about importance of wearing mask, social distancing and maintaining cleanliness will continue. He said that this virus will be totally subdued through these measures. However, we have to live in the present circumstances for some time to come. Everyone has to be alert on their own and other’s safety.
Shri Chouhan held discussion with senior officers about area-wise activities in Lockdown-4, success of measures taken so far and the efforts to be made in next fifteen days, at Mantralaya today.
Facilities Provided to Labourers in M.P.
Additional Chief Secretray and in-charge of the State Control Room, Shri I.C.P. Keshari informed that 88 trains have already brought back labourers from different states and another 22 trains will arrive soon. Thus, the work of transporting migrant labourers is continuing on a large scale. The migrant labourers from other states are also being provided with food and vehicles for further journey by road. Adequate facilities have been provided in every district for labourers as per their requirement. Labourers have described the facilities in Madhya Pradesh better than other states, he added.
The meeting was informed that the order regarding area-wise activities in Lockdownn-4 will be issued soon.
Bhopal Model Discussed
Chief Minister was informed that the special efforts made in Bhopal to control the situation have met with considerable success. IG Shri Upendra Jain informed that 10 Corona Mitras have been designated in every police station area to rope in community support. People of all communities are involved with the efforts. Bhopal is emerging as a model due to the sampling and surveillance arrangements made here. People are extending cooperation in home quarantine. The families where any members have come from outstation are helping in the quarantine arrangements. Commissioner, Bhopal division Shri Kavindra Kiyavat and Collector Shri Tarun Pithode also gave area-wise information.
CS Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johari, ACS Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and other senior officers attended the meeting.
