Share market update: PSU bank shares dip; Bank of Baroda slips 6%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Monday's session.

Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 6.49 per cent) , Canara Bank (down 6.31 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 5.8 per cent) , Indian Bank (down 4.86 per cent) , Central Bank of India (down 4.7 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 4.17 per cent) , Bank of India (down 4.04 per cent) , UCO Bank (down 3.85 per cent) , Union Bank of India (down 3.64 per cent) , Punjab & Sind Bank (down 3.36 per cent) , J & K Bank (down 3.08 per cent) , Bank of Maharashtra (down 2.81 per cent) and Indian Overseas Bank (down 2.7 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 5.19 per cent down at 1124.55 around 02:27PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 241.05 points at 8895.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 812.89 points at 30284.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Vedanta , SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, BEL, Ashok Leyland and Federal Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
