Pallabi Maharathy, daughter of
Pipili MLA
Pradeep Maharathy.
The couple met state chief secretary
Asit Tripathy and handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh towards the CM Relief Fund. “As the disease is spreading and more people are getting affected, it’s our duty to follow the precautionary measures suggested by the governments. As actors, we have got so much love from people and it’s time for us to pay it back. So, my wife and I decided to donate to this noble cause,” said the
Tapori actor, who is currently staying at his native place in
Ganjam.
He also recently donated Rs 50,000 to the family members of a person who died of coronavirus in his district recently. “The third
Covid death in the state was in a village few kilometers from my home. I donated a sum to his family at this difficult time,” he added.
