BHUBANESWAR: Two more persons died and 91 tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha on Sunday, taking the toll to five and the number of infections to 828.
The deaths were reported from
Ganjam district. The two, men aged 38 and 45, had returned from Surat, the health department updated on its Covid-19 dashboard.
The new cases include 87 in quarantine centres besides a sarpanch and three others. Notably, sarpanches are involved in quarantining people returning from other states in temporary medical centres.
The new cases were reported from Bhadrak (28), Balasore (17), Ganjam (15), Cuttack (12), Puri (7), Keonjhar (4), Khurda (3), Balangir (2), Kendrapada (1), Sundargarh (1) and Sambalpur (1). With this, Sambalpur joined the list of affected districts.
