Pune: MSEDCL connects with housing societies in Pimpri division via webinar

The online webinar was organised to exchange information on power issues, development work of MSEDCL, consumer services, etc. in all these areas.

Pune: As many as 56 representatives of 180 housing societies in Pimpri division participated in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) webinar event on Friday. 

The online webinar was organised to exchange information on power issues, development work of MSEDCL, consumer services, etc. in all these areas. 

While the representatives asked about power cuts, consumer services and development work of MSEDCL, the MSEDCL authorities gave details about new work, pre-monsoon works and repair works.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Co-operative Housing Society Federation functions as the apex body of 180 housing societies of around 18,000 electricity consumers in the areas of Wakad, Hinjawadi, Sangvi, Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Nilakh, Pimple Gurav, Ravet, Punawale and others under the Pimpri Division of MSEDCL. 

According to the spokesperson of MSEDCL Nishikant Raut, "The 1.5-hour-long webinar provided information on new electrical works, pre-monsoon maintenance and repairs in the vicinity of these 180 housing societies. The facilities like online bill payment, consumer services, newly launched RTGS and NEFT transactions were discussed. The representatives were requested to send metre readings through mobile apps or a website as well as pay their electricity bills online."

"The representatives of the federations have appreciated the efforts made by MSEDCL for smooth power supply during the lockdown period. During the webinar MSEDCL Chief Engineer Sachin Talewar, Superintendent Engineer of Ganeshkhind Division of MSEDCL Pankaj Tagalpallewar, Executive Engineer of Pimpri Division Shivaji Waifalkar, Additional Executive Engineer Dattatreya Balgude and other officials were present," said Raut.
