MP Board class 10 remaining exams 2020 cancelled; class 12 exams to begin from June 8, says MP CM

Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday decided to cancel remaining MP board class 10 examinations. The class 12 examination will, however, remain unchanged. MPBSE will conduct class 12 examination from June 8, 2020.

NEW DELHI: The government has decided not to conduct the remaining exams of class 10 of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, announced Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday.

Minister also said that the merit list of class 10 will be announced based on the exams held. "The merit list of class 10 examination will be prepared on the basis of the exams that were conducted. The students will be promoted to the next class with the remark 'pass' in the class 10 marksheet for the cancelled subjects," he added.

MPBSE will conduct the remaining class 12 exams between June 8 and June 16, 2020.


Earlier, MP board has cancelled the state level exams of classes 5 and 8 following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown.

The minister further informed that the private schools are allowed to charge only tuition fee from students for the period between March 19 and the date when lockdown ends.


MP class 10 and 12 exams were to be held in March and April, but had postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. MPBSE had also postponed the evaluation of answer sheets which was to begin on March 21.
