Seeing the rising infection of the corona virus, now the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has also given a big order. Under this order, the National Population Register (NPR) has been banned till further orders.

On the instructions of the Yogi government, an order issued in this regard has said that the works in the first phase of the National Population Register 2021 should be stopped. Principal Secretary Jitendra Kumar has issued an order in this regard. Earlier, the Narendra Modi government at the Center had ordered to stop the work of the National Population Register and census after declaring a lockdown in the country.

It is noteworthy that the Narendra Modi government of the Center has started the work of NPR to collect the details of all the people living in the country. The names of all those persons who are citizens of the country or not are to be entered in this register. The number of corona-infected people in the country has now crossed 85,000.
