Bengaluru to Goa bus meets with accident at Gadag

PANAJI: A Bengaluru to Goa relief bus met with an accident at approximately 4am on Friday at Gadag, Karnataka. The bus was carrying Goan passengers to the state that were stranded in Bengaluru during the nationwide lockdown.
Sources said that there were a total of 23 people – 21 passengers and a driver and a conductor – on the bus. The incident left one passenger with a minor head injury. The stranded passengers were later picked up in another bus from the accident site and brought to Goa. They were taken to a quarantine facility at Colva after arriving in the state.
