Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman while briefing the media announces Rs 10,000 crore scheme for formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises. FM Sitharaman said that the fund will be utilised for the formalization of Micro Food Enterprises. FM Nirmala Sitharaman said, “This scheme promotes the vision of PM Modi- ‘Vocal for local with global outreach’. This scheme is expected to benefit 2 lakh MFEs.” Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, FM Nirmala Sitharaman has unveiled various mega economic packages that are aimed at uplifting the economy battered by the nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of covid-19.
