Representative imageSHIMLA: Seven new positive cases of coronavirus including a 7-year-old girl were reported in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday taking the total count of Covid-19 cases in the state to 74.
While two cases each were reported from Sirmaur, Bilaspur and Kangra districts, one positive case was reported from Hamirpur district. Now state has total 74 positive cases of Covid-19 of which 33 are active cases.
A 30-year-old woman and her seven-year-old daughter, who had returned from Delhi, have tested positive. Both mother and daughter who reside in Hari Om Colony of Paonta Sahib are asymptomatic and were in home quarantine.
A woman from Ghurkari near Dharamshala in Kangra who had returned along with two other members of family from Mumbai on May 9 in a taxi has also been tested positive on Thursday. She was also in home quarantine and on Tuesday she had complained of cold and fever after which her samples were taken on Wednesday and tested positive at Covid-19 at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda.
A 57-year-old woman who returned from Delhi two days back and admitted at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda with severe acute respiratory illness was also tested positive.
While a 39-year-old male, resident of Karohta villahe of Bhoranj tehsil of Hamirpur district who had returned from Ahmedabad and was in relief camp at Hill Top Hotel of Tourism hotel at Swarghat has also tested positive. A 43-year-old male, Primary contact of Driver of Delhi who is admitted at Covid Hospital Medical College, Mandi and also quarantined in relief camp at PWD Rest House Naina Devi Ji in BIlaspur district has also been tested positive.
A 55-year-old male from Tauni Devi in Hamurpur district, primary contact (brother in law) of a positive patient from Bajrol in Hamirpur also tested positive.
Of the total 74 positive cases of coronavirus detected so far, 35 have recovered, four have migrated out of state, 2 have died while 33 are undergoing treatment. In the state, total 26,474 persons were put under surveillance till Thursday, of them 7,981 have completed 28 days of surveillance and 18,493 are under active surveillance. Total 14,300 persons have been tested positive for coronavirus of which 13,927 have been tested negative, 74 have been tested positive and results of 299 samples are awaited.
