Share market update: Bank shares down; Bandhan Bank dips 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with losses in Friday's session.

Shares of Bandhan Bank (down 3.18 per cent) , Federal Bank (down 2.97 per cent) , Axis Bank (down 2.92 per cent) , ICICI Bank (down 1.95 per cent) , RBLBANK (down 1.89 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down 1.74 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (down 1.72 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 1.25 per cent) , HDFC Bank (down 1.06 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 0.68 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 1.49 per cent down at 18784.25 around 11:47 AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 66.70 points at 9076.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 264.06 points at 30858.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SAIL, Manappuram Fin, BEL, NBCC , SBI, Tata Motors, Tata Power and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
