Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a Rs 4,000 crore package for promotion of herbal cultivation in India. Sitharaman said that the move aims to cover 10,00,000 hectares in next 2 years for herbal cultivation. She further added that a corridor of medicinal plants to come up across banks of Ganga. Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, FM Nirmala Sitharaman has unveiled various mega economic packages that are aimed at uplifting the economy battered by the nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of covid-19.
