The RBI decided to close the cash counter, issuance and banking department in the regional office and move some operations to the RBI Staff College in Teynampet. Some senior officials may shift to Teynampet, but none of the clerical staff will.
Sources in the RBI Employees Association said all employees are asked to not go to the regional office till further notice.
