Maria Singh, neé Princess Maria Galitzine, of the Habsburg Dynasty, has died. She was 31 years old.

The Austrian princess died on 4 May. She is the daughter of Prince Piotr Galitzine and Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine – her royal status came from both her parents as Prince Piotr is a Russian aristocrat and her mother is the daughter of the Archduke Rudolf of Austria, the youngest son of Emperor Charles I of Austria and Empress Zita of Bourbon-Parma (the last Emperor and Empress of Austria). According to an obituary published in The Houston Chronicle, her death was caused by a "sudden" cardiac aneurysm.

She was buried on 8 May in the Orthodox section of Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, reports People.

She is survived by her parents, five siblings, husband, Rishi Roop Singh, a chef in Houston where she lived, as well as her two-year-old son, Maxim, reports Town & Country.

Though she was born in Luxembourg and was a descendent of the Habsburg Dynasty, she lived a very normal life – even becoming an interior designer.

Her sister, Tatiana, who lives in Texas, spoke about their not-so-royal life to The Houston Chronicle in 2018 saying: "My life is completely normal unless we are invited to royal weddings. My mail sometimes says 'Princess Tatiana.' What was weird was when I went from 'Princess' to 'Mrs.' I had been a princess all my life."
