Apology to Mr Tony De Domenico

On 13 April 2018, 17 April 2018 and 19 April 2018 The Age published in its newspaper and since then on The Age website a series of articles concerning Mr Tony De Domenico OAM.

The articles could have been understood to suggest that Mr De Domenico had connections with an alleged mafia figure, that he had personally assisted that figure to be promoted to the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and that he was not a fit and proper person to be a member of government boards and agencies.

The Age accepts that Mr De Domenico has no, and has never had any, personal or commercial relationship with any mafia figure, did not personally assist any mafia figure, and is a fit and proper person to be a member of Government boards and agencies and is otherwise a person of good repute.

The Age unreservedly apologizes to Mr De Domenico for any hurt and distress caused to him and his family by the articles.
