Ludhiana: Man held for murdering mother after tiff

LUDHIANA: A man allegedly hit his elderly mother in her head after a heated argument resulting in her death in Bhawani village of Doraha, about 30km from Ludhiana.
Police detained the accused after filing a case against him. The deceased was identified as 70-year-old Parkash Kaur.
Police officials said the accused Gurdeep Singh (38), a daily wager, was going to take a bath whereas his mother was doing some work. Police said that the mother-son duo had a heated argument after he hit her on the head with an agricultural instrument.
Police said that Parkash fell on the ground and died on the spot after which her family members came to know about the incident and informed the police.
