Drunk mason hacks father to death in Telangana's Nagarkurnool

HYDERABAD: An inebriated mason allegedly hacked his father to death due to property-related issues in Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday. The victim K Koormaiah, 65, was a farmer from Polepalli village, while assailant was his son, K Srinivasulu, 40. Srinivasulu stays in Hyderabad. Three days ago, Srinivasulu returned to Polepalli to sort out a small dispute pertaining to access to agricultural fields with other farmers.
Koormaiah was rude to Srinivasulu and often used filthy language against him, threatening to not give him share in property, according to police. “On Tuesday, Koormaiah and Srinivasulu consumed liquor. They had an argument about family issues. Later, Koormaiah went to sleep. Srinivasulu attacked him on the neck with an axe, killing him on the spot,” Nagarkurnool circle inspector Gandhi Naik said.
