Despite an increase in the overall number of coronavirus cases in India, certain areas have managed to significantly flatten the curve. These areas, known as Orange and Green Zones, are beginning to return to normalcy. Hyundai is one of the first carmakers to resume car deliveries and reopen dealerships under strict hygiene protocols.
During the lockdown, Hyundai offered an online sales platform wherein cars could be booked for a test drive or purchased. Since these cars could only be physically available post the lockdown, it has begun fulfilling pending orders for the 2020 Creta in the Orange and Green Zones. In cities like Delhi, dealerships will open only after May 17.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta gets three BS6-compliant engine options. The first, a 1.5-litre petrol engine, produces 115PS and 250Nm and is driven by a 6-speed CVT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces the same output to the front wheels through a torque converter. The third option is a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 140PS and 242Nm.On the features front, the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment system, BlueLink connected car technology, ventilated front seats, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, and rear disc brakes.
Launched in March this year, the Creta locks horns with the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and Tata Harrier. Priced from Rs 9.99 lakh, the Creta sure got a lot of attention for its value for money aspect. With numerous offers and benefits offered by Hyundai during these tough times, Hyundai should see quite a few of its models being sold
