NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Thursday's session.

Shares of Punjab & Sind Bank (down 4.27 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 3.19 per cent) , Indian Bank (down 3.18 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 3.1 per cent) , UCO Bank (down 2.09 per cent) , Canara Bank (down 2.08 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down 2.04 per cent) , Bank of India (down 1.32 per cent) , Central Bank of India (down 1.32 per cent) , Bank of Maharashtra (down 1.1 per cent) and Union Bank of India (down 1.0 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 2.26 per cent down at 1210.05 around 02:18PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 230.35 points at 9153.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 841.96 points at 31166.65.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of BHEL, Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, Adani Power, Federal Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, NTPC and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
