Mumbai man’s mother receiving the medicines from policeGorakhpur: After a tweet from a man in Mumbai requesting UP police to help provide medicines to her ailing mother stuck in Gorakhpur, the city police immediately acknowledged it and delivered the required medicines to her on Tuesday.
The man’s mother is currently staying with her relatives in Campierganj tehsil of Gorakhpur where she had come to attend a wedding on
March 11, and is stuck in the city since then.
Mandhar, in his tweet, said that her mother is a diabetic patient and has run out of medicines. He sought help from UP police and Maharashtra cabinet minister Aditya Thackerey in the matter. Thereafter, Thackerey himself appealed to UP police to take the matter into cognizance.
The police asked for the woman’s prescription through whatsapp, and on the direction of Gorakhpur SSP Sunil Gupta, delivered the medicines to her.
“The constables at PRV 3882 delivered the medicines to the woman, who was staying 55 km away from their deployment area,” informed Gupta.
When the cops reached her place with the medicines, the woman was grateful and she blessed them, while Mandhar thanked Gorakhpur police on Twitter. Aditya Thackerey also acknowledged UP police for their quick response in a tweet.
