Ordinance promulgated for e-payment of court fee in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit has promulgated an ordinance to facilitate e-payment of court fee, said a press release issued by Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
It said based on the proposal of the Madras high court to facilitate e-payment of court fee, the state government had submitted a proposal to amend the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 to define the words “stamp,” “e-stamp” and “impressed stamp.”
