It has been reported that the 2021 Oscars ceremony could be postponed until May or June due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Oscars usually take place at the beginning of the year.
The decision comes after the global pandemic severely impacted the 2020 movie release schedule and cinemas across the world remain closed as countries are still under lockdown.

This is the first time that the annual award ceremony would be postponed in the Oscars' 93-year history.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is giving movie studios a longer release window for their flicks to be eligible for Oscars nominations, which means the delayed movies will still make it into the 2021 awards.
