Actress Anu Choudhury has been busy with her social work during this lockdown, as she is coordinating with other activists from her home to help people in need. She is also associated with voluntary organisations that have been providing food to the poor and downtrodden during this situation.
"From arranging food and sanitary items to instructing other youngsters working on the ground, I have been doing everything from home. Sometimes, I also visit places in the city to overlook the work directly on the field," said the actress.
As part of a voluntary organisation, she attends their social projects. “I help them pack food and boost their morale. The current situation demands we help each other for survival. While we, the privileged ones can arrange our food, there are many who can’t and we all must help them in our own ways,” she added.
She is also known for her love for animals. Every morning, she feeds stray dogs around her apartment. “Several people told me that they have started feeding strays during the lockdown after seeing my work. I’m so happy that I have motivated others and I would be happier if more privileged people come in help of others,” said the actress.
