I had invested in HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund and ICICI Prudential Equity & Debt Fund in December 2017. Since then, their NAVs have fallen considerably. What should I do?

There is good and bad news for you. The bad news is that usually in such funds one should not make one-time investments; new investors especially should not. One can only be reasonably protected from such losses if one invests through SIPs. The good news is that compared to pure equity funds, these funds have fallen less, but this is no consolation for you as you were not prepared for any magnitude of fall.
Now I feel that if you want to continue, then start doing SIPs in these funds, but don't pull out the already invested amount if you don't need it for at least four years.
