Before you start, preheat the oven to 180ᵒC and grease a medium sized square cake tin with butter, then line it with baking paper to ensure the batter doesn't stick to the bottom and burn during cooking.
Chop a full packet of original chocolate Tim Tams into small chunks and set aside for later.
Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over a low heat, stirring gently until smooth and creamy. Then set it aside to cool.
Stir sugar into the chocolate and butter mixture, before adding eggs - one at a time - stirring thoroughly after each addition.
Again, leave the mixture to cool for a few minutes before adding a dash a vanilla essence on top.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder and baking powder, sifting carefully to remove any lumps before tipping the mixture in on top of the chocolate, butter, sugar and eggs.
Stir until just combined, taking care not to over beat the mixture which prevents batter from rising in the oven.
Add the chopped chunks of Tim Tams and fold them into the mixture, spreading evenly throughout.
Pour the batter into the lined cake tin and sprinkle a pinch of almonds and sea salt over the top to enhance the flavour.
Bake in the oven for roughly 30 minutes or until firm to touch.
Once cooked, leave the brownies to cool completely before cutting into individual pieces - ready to eat.
The recipe has been released ahead of World Baking Day on Sunday, May 17.
