Gujarat: 11 new Covid-19 cases in Rajkot, six patients discharged

RAJKOT: Eleven people, including a two-year-old boy, tested Covid-19 positive at Rajkot in Gujarat on Thursday. All these people are residents of Madina park of Jangleshwar area.
According to Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) all these people are close contacts of a 19-year-old Covid-19 positive woman who is currently under treatment at the civil hospital. She tested positive on May 7. There are total 22 people of her close contacts who were accommodated at a government quarantine facility. The samples of all the people were sent for testing after a week and 11 people tested positive; they were shifted to civil hospital for further treatment. There are total 74 people who tested positive at Rajkot so far out of that 59 people were discharged and one died.
There are six patients discharged from Rajkot civil hospital, including a 16-year-old boy on Thursday as per the new guidelines. All are the residents of Jangleshwar area.
