Five more tested positive for Covid-19 in Prayagraj, tally reaches 26

PRAYAGRAJ: As many as five more persons including four members of a family have been tested positive for coronavirus in Prayagraj on Thursday, taking the district tally to 26 so far.
All the five patients, including four members of a family, are migrants who came back to Prayagraj from Mumbai district of Maharashtra on different dates.
While four of them were residents of Lagadiapur and another was from Jhunsi. The patients were admitted to Covid-19 Level One Hospital in Kotwa for treatment.
Additional chief medical officer and nodal officer Dr Rishi Sahai said, “ While four of a family including a couple and their two teenaged kids arrived city from Mumbai on May 12 and went straight to OPD of the SRN hospital”. As they have been referred to the corona ward, the family members escaped from the hospital campus and went straight to their native village in Lagadiapur Kanwar in Sarayinayat.
On May 13, a team of medical officials traced their location at their native home and brought back to them at SRN hospital. The team has also collected their swab samples of all four persons on Wednesday which have been positive for infection on Thursday.
Moreover, a 25-year old youth and resident of Jhunsi , who arrived city from Mumbai on May 8, was quarantined at corona ward of the SRN hospital. His swab sample was taken on Wednesday and he was tested positive on Thursday.
“ Four of the family including a man aged 33 years, his wife (31) and two kids aged 12 and 11 years had arrived city from Mumbai by an auto” said an official adding they all were advised to admitted at isolation ward of SRN hospital after having symptoms similar to coronavirus” he added . After screening, the family, however, escaped from the hospital and went straight to their home in trans Ganga area”.
Once five more people tested positive for infection, two new spots including Lagadipur Kanwar (Sarayinayat) and Kaseruwa Khurd (Jhunsi) have been added into hotspots list.
Till now, the district has a tally of 26 patients wherein one died and seven recovered \discharged. Remaining 18 are undergoing treatment at Covid 19 Level one hospital in Kotwa and SRN hospital.
