With inter-state and inter-district mobility a major issue with public transport not there and also due to 14-day institutional quarantine norms, Suresh Kumar said an idea has been mooted to allow students appear for the examination in the district where they presently are than at their designated examination centre. The meeting will also come to some workable arrangement for students who need to cross state border to appear for the exam here, he said.
Admitting that it might be difficult for KSEEB to conduct the examination outside the state for logistical reasons, Suresh Kumar said any decision arrived at will be done in a way that neither the students nor their parents are burdened in any manner. “It is our intent to create a conducive atmosphere for students to appear for most important examination of their career in a relaxed frame of mind and not with confusions or anxiety,” the minister said.
