JCB machine falls off bridge in Kopar, one hurt

KALYAN: A JCB machine stationed on a rail over-bridge (ROB) in Kopar for its demolition, fell from the bridge onto railway tracks below on Monday afternoon. The driver suffered minor injuries, and is being treated at a private hospital, said civic officials.
The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) began the dismantling work on the 39-year-old bridge last month. It was shut in September last year, after an IIT-Bombay audit declared it unsafe.
