Orlando Pirates star midfielder Ben Motshwari has broken his silence after testing positive for the coronavirus.
The 29-year-old became the first Premier Soccer League (PSL) player to contract the coronavirus, having reportedly been infected while shopping last week.
Motshwari has not been in contact with any of his team-mates and is spending the next two weeks in isolation.
"I'd really like to thank everyone who has been supportive, sending me messages in the past few days; messages of encouragement (and) wishing me well. I really appreciate it and it really means a lot to me," said Motshwari in a video posted by the club on Twitter.
"Currently, I'm under strict medical surveillance and I'm doing quite well under the circumstances.
"To all the fans, I'd really like to encourage them to practice their social distancing, keep on sanitizing your hands. Keep on wearing your masks."
