After being excessively teased over the last few days, the Huawei Y9s has finally been launched in India. The new smartphone from Huawei is a mid-range offering that has been announced as an Amazon exclusive.

The Huawei Y9s comes with a big screen and battery for the segment it has been launched in. There's also an aggressive price tag to make it appear appealing to buyers.

Huawei Y9s is a mid-range offering that has been launched exclusively through Amazon. It will be available for purchase from May 19, with customers being promised the Huawei Y9s at a 9-month no-cost EMI and Rs 1,000 cashback. The phone has been priced by the company at Rs 19,990.

Huawei Y9s: Specifications

Huawei Y9s comes with a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display, with support for 16.7 million colours. The device also features a high screen-to-body ratio of 91 per cent, both as both the top and bottom bezels of the display are thin. The Y9s also comes with support for Eye Comfort mode which offers a blue light filtering function that is certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Under the hood, the phone comes with Kirin 710F SoC for improved performance even while playing graphics-intensive games or watching movies. This has been paired with 128GB large storage and 6GB of RAM for smooth operation even with multiple apps running.

In terms of cameras, the Y9s comes with an ultra-clear 48MP camera sat next to an 8MP Ultra Wide Angle camera and a 2MP depth camera. There's also a 16MP front camera in a popo-up module for taking selfies. In comparison to market competition, Huawei claims this camera captures finer and detailed images, but also offers an excellent Handheld Night Mode owing to Huawei's powerful AI capabilities. It also claims that the Huawei Y9s' front camera has passed 100,000 times a pop-up-and-retract test without damage to prove its high durability.

HUAWEI Y9s uses a glass body and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The body also a 4000mAh powerful battery, which can support continuous calling for 40 hours, music playback for 80 hours and video playback for 9 hours.

It is powered by EMUI 9.1 that brings features such as AI communication, wireless printing, phone clone, HUAWEI Share, etc.
