A young girl has been indecently assaulted by a man in a park in Perth.

The girl was in the Don Cuthbertson Reserve near Rockingham, south of the city, at 4.30pm on Monday when she was approached by a limping man with greying hair.

Police say the man then groped her.

They have released an artist's impression of what the man looked like.

He is white with short white hair, and was said to have a mole on his right cheek and walk with a limp.

The man was wearing a blue t-shirt with red stripes and had blue ripped jeans.
