Prime Minister Modi announced a special economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore, which is 10% of India's GDP, to revive the economy.
PM Modi announced the special economic package for labourers, farmers, tax payers, MSMEs and cottage industry.
The Special economic package will have an emphasis on land, labour, liquidity and laws, PM Modi said during a televised address to the nation.
Beginning Wednesday, the finance minister will announce details of the special economic package, he added.
He also said that 'Lockdown 4' will be different and have new rules; and people will be informed about it before May 18.

In his virtual meet with chief ministers on Monday, Modi said the challenges are two-fold: reduction of the transmission rate of the novel coronavirus and gradual increase in public activities while adhering to all guidelines. The Centre and states will have to work towards achieving the twin objectives, he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the 16 migrant labourers who were run over by goods train in Maharashtra's Aurangabad on May 8.
