UP Assistant teacher result for 69000 vacancies announced; link to be available from tomorrow

NEW DELHI: UP’s basic education department on Tuesday announced the results of recruitment test for filling up 69,000 posts of assistant teachers in primary schools. The result was announced around 2.00 pm. However, the candidates who appeared for the test would be able to check their results tomorrow i.e., May 13, 2020, on the website — atrexam.upsdc.gov.in.
Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority Anil Bhushan confirmed that results have been announced. Examination Regulatory Committee decided to give common one mark to all candidates for all three wrong questions.
The Assistant Teacher Recruitment Exam (ATRE) was conducted on January 6, 2020. The official answer key of ATRE was released on January 18 for objections. Nearly to 22,000 candidates had raised objections on 142 questions out of 150 asked in the test. After scrutiny, experts found three out-of syllabus questions were asked in the test.
The recruitment process was stalled as few candidates moved to the court challenging the state government’s decision of raising the cut off for general and reserved category applicants from 45% and 40% to 65% and 60%, respectively.
On May 6, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court HC upheld the state government’s decision and set the ball rolling for recruitment of 69,000 assistant teachers in the state. After HC's directives, CM Yogi Adityanath had asked basic education officials to announce results in a week.
