Furious Australia Post customer complains after receiving an almost-destroyed package that 'looked like it had been kicked around like a football'
- A man said his parcel was almost destroyed while it was transported to Tasmania
- The box filled with suspension parts arrived covered in rips and was crushed
- A picture of the parcel was posted online, some blamed Australia post
- Others pointed the finger at the sender and claimed it had been wrapped badly
A man has lashed out at Australia Post for delivering a parcel that was so damaged it looked like it had been 'used as a football'.
The Tasmanian man had ordered a set of motorcycle springs and shocks from Sydney and assumed they would be treated with care.
But after his package arrived almost three weeks late on May 6, he found the box holding the suspension components ripped and crushed beyond recognition.

A furious Australia Post customer has complained about the condition of his package after he paid $64 to have it shipped from Sydney to Tasmania
'At a cost of $64 you expect your items to be handled with some kind of due care and attention,' he told Yahoo News.
The man said he believed the heavy items were packaged correctly with layers of bubble wrap and newspaper.
But by the time the box landed on his doorstep it had been destroyed and appeared to have been 'used for a football'.
The man posted a picture of his battered parcel online and many followers slammed Australia Post for shoddy work.
'Looks like an Australia Post gorilla has grabbed the parcel by the strapping and flung it into the back of a truck. I wonder if Australia Post even teach their workforce manual handling techniques?,' a man wrote.

On top of arriving almost three weeks late the customer said the package looked like it had been 'used as a football'
While others laid the blame on the parcel sender for incorrectly packing the heavy components.
'Sorry to say but It was badly packed for something that heavy mate. Of course the box and light weight paper will squash when other parcels are put on top of something like that,' another person said.
A spokesperson from Australia Post encouraged anyone with issues to come forward to them directly.
'Australia Post is using its extensive network to work for our communities, to get essential items to people that need it, and to keep delivering for Australians,' they said.
'While the vast majority of our mail and parcels arrive safely and on time, customers who feel that has not happened are encouraged to contact us on 13POST so we can look into it further for them.'
