Teacher accidentally burns answer sheets of graduate students of Kerala University; Human Rights Commission orders police inquiry

ALAPPUZHA: Kerala State Human Rights Commission on Tuesday ordered a police inquiry after a teacher accidentally burned the answer sheets of graduate students of Kerala University she brought for valuation in her home. It was the teacher of MSM College, Kayamkulam in Alappuzha who accidentally burned the answer sheets of degree students.
The commission judicial member P Mohanadas has directed Alappuzha district police chief to probe the incident. The commission also directed the collegiate education director to take immediate action to ensure the future of the students, whose answer sheets were burned accidentally by the teacher. The commission has also asked the police chief, collegiate education director and university registrar to submit the reports on the incident within a month.
The 38 answer sheets of B.sc Chemistry students were burned after the teacher brought it to her home for valuation due to lockdown. According to the teacher, the answer sheets were being examined during the light of table lamp. The answer sheets were burned when she went out of the room for having food.
