Poco F2 Pro is set to launch today, May 12 in an online event globally. The successor to the Poco F1 has been much awaited and today all those speculations and rumours about the 2nd generation of Poco will be finally put to rest. Poco X2 was announced earlier this year but was soon to be revealed as a separate line of phones and not a successor to the Poco F1. Soon, rumours about a Poco F2 Pro that’s said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition hit the Internet. However, Poco India GM C Manmohan has earlier said that the Poco F2 won’t be a rebadged version of any existing Xiaomi phone. That said, everything will be revealed in just about a few hours from now.

Poco F2 Pro expected specifications, features and price

Poco F2 Pro is rumoured to feature a metal-glass construction with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display that uses a Super AMOLED panel. The screen is topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 and supports HDR10+ playback.

The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 650 GPU. This could be paired with upto 8GB RAM and 256GB storage options. It should optimally run on MIUI 11 with Poco Launcher that’s based on Android 11.

As for the cameras, the Poco F2 Pro is said to come with a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a primary 64MP camera, a 5MP telephoto lens that doubles up as a macro camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera that is housed within a motorized pop-up module.

The F2 Pro could come with a 4,700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, Quick Charge 4+ and Power Delivery.

The leaked pricing of Poco F2 Pro for global markets indicate that it could be priced starting at 570 Euros which is roughly around Rs 45,000 by direct conversion.
